Born in Buenos Aires moved to San Francisco in 2015 where he found a welcoming and inspiring community in the Bay Area music scene. Loco Tranquilo's sound is a genre bending indie rock, psychedelic pop and freak folk with jazzy textures. Some of his biggest influences are The Velvet Underground, Devendra Banhart, Mac DeMarco, Radiohead, and Pescado Rabioso. Loco Tranquilo's music is the perfect fusion of the European Latin spirit of Buenos Aires city nights with the dreamy, poetic, and creative nostalgia of San Francisco.
Julián Armando Gervasi, known by his stage name Loco Tranquilo, is a singer, songwriter and composer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now based in San Francisco, California. He began crafting his music at 25, inspired by the emotional landscape and vibrant culture of his hometown before moving to San Francisco in 2016. His sound is born from the fusion of two worlds: the European Latin heartbeat of Buenos Aires with its romantic, nostalgic and raw spirit, combined with the dreamy, poetic and creative San Francisco nostalgia.
As Loco Tranquilo, he is known for his heartfelt performances and a genre bending blend of Rock Nacional, Psychedelic Pop and Garage Rock with dreamy jazzy textures.
